Edward Abbott.
According to census records, his son Thomas Abbott, (1836 - 1885), was born in Helsby, but I have not found a baptism record.
Baptisms for his sons, William and George, are recorded in the register for the Parish of Frodsham on 14th February 1841 and 6th March 1844 respectively.
This entry for the "Habbot" family in the 1841 census seems to match with Thomas's birthdate, and birthplace, Helsby. Edward is not present.

Thomas Abbott's Death.
Cause of death was smallpox, about 8 or 9 days. Certified by E. Hyler Graves.
Informant was Thomas Broughton, Nuisance Inspector, of 1, Granville Road, Garston, who caused the body to be buried.
The death was registered on 24th April 1885.
Thomas was buried on 18th April 1885 at St Michael, Garston.

Their children: John (1909-1993), Mary (1911-1997). Sarah died on 6th July 1944 at 27 Seddon Road, Garston. Buried on 10th July at Allerton Cemetery.].

Mary Abbott née Cherrington died in 1919, and was buried at St Michael's Church, Garston, on December 12th 1919.
From the burial record, she had been living at 27, Seddon Road, home of her daughter, Sarah Cherrington Twist, and husband John Twist.
(Sarah Twist was still at this address when she died in 1944. Her husband, John Twist, died at 30 Seddon Road in 1954.)

I don't have Richard's birth certificate yet, but he was baptised as Richard Abbot (note spelling), on 1st February 1887, at St Michael's Church, Garston.
