The address given on his birth certificate was 11 Victoria Terrace, Garston, in the column "When and where born"
but in the column headed "Signature, description and residence of informant", it was written as 11 Victoria Terrace, Aigburth.
Initially, I could find no other family connection with the Aigburth address, so Victoria Terrace in Island Road, Garston seemed more likely. Indeed, in 1939, my Uncle Ron, Thomas Edward's brother, William Ronald, and his wife Letitia (Parry) were living at number 8 Island Road, directly opposite number 11 Victoria Terrace. However, the 1914/15 electoral register for 11, Victoria Terrace, Aigburth has Richard Abbott, (Thomas Edward's father), registered there to vote. So Aigburth wins!
