William, Elizabeth and their young family; Annie Ellen aged 4, Mary Louisa aged 2 and Robert Trevor aged 1, left Liverpool aboard the SS Germanic, arriving in New York on 16th September 1887.
They travelled to Pennsylvania, presumably joining the numerous other Welsh immigrants who had moved there to work in the emerging mining and iron working industries.
